Are there any updates for CODie ISMAN? Yes. CODie ISMAN is fully updated every year, and we may send you interim updates as well. How will I receive my updates? You can choose to access updates from a secure download area on our website, or receive them on CD-ROM. Can I order an update with specified changes? Certainly. You are free to request a customised update at any time, but the update fee will be higher than usual. Can you support me during the update installation process? Yes we can, although this is not normally necessary. The setup process is very easy to handle, even for someone with no IT expertise at all. Do you offer training sessions for the crew and the admin team? Yes we do. One training sessions take two days and we find that the best results are achieved face-to-face. For this reason, we will be pleased to welcome you and up to five colleagues at our company HQ in Potsdam near Berlin, Germany. If you prefer, we can provide training via the internet, although we do not actively recommend internet-based training. Learn more about Potsdam >>> What does training cost? This depends on variable factors like the number of trainees, which modules will be worked on, and so on. Please contact us for a quotation. Am I allowed to make suggestions for the further development of the programme? Definitely! All our programmes are developed in close partnership with our users, and we aim to keep it that way. We would be glad to hear your ideas and, in most cases, we will consider them for the next update. Do my vessels need to have an onboard network? Not necessarily. You can work with CODie ISMAN without any kind of onboard networking, but you will make life much easier for the crew if you have one. Will all users have open access to all areas of the programme? No. You are able to set detailed user rights for every user and you can create access protocols for specific user rights to save time (e.g. Captain, 2nd CE…). It is also possible to create templates. Is CODie-ISMAN divided into nautical and technical areas? CODie ISMAN gives you the capability to create 3-part trees: one nautical, one technical and one user-defined. You can open them simply by clicking the respective tab in the programme. For example, if desired, you can enable the captain to check the cargo cranes and auxiliary engines.
